About the role

We’re looking for a proactive Credit Controller to join our new credit control team in Carterton, Oxfordshire. You’ll handle credit control queries, speak to clients to make sure payments are made on time, and resolve issues with premium finance houses. The work is varied and hands‑on, and you’ll build strong relationships with clients, finance partners and colleagues across the business.

What you’ll be doing

• Debt collection: Manage your own portfolio of customer accounts and chase overdue payments by phone, email and letter.
• Query resolution: Investigate and resolve billing disputes, pricing discrepancies and client queries promptly.
• Premium finance liaison: Work with premium finance houses to resolve payment issues, missed instalments and cancellations.
• Stakeholder liaison: Work with account handlers, brokers and the wider finance team to improve billing processes and cash flow.

Who we’re looking for

• Experience as a Credit Controller, in Accounts Receivable or in a similar finance role
• Ideally, experience in an insurance environment
• A confident, professional phone manner with strong negotiation and people skills
• Close attention to detail, good organisation, and a resilient, solutions‑focused attitude
