Job summary

Recruitment Solutions (NW) Ltd in Manchester is seeking a Credit Controller to join our client’s established Finance Team. You will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, proactively collecting outstanding payments and helping to maintain cash flow in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of credit control experience, strong reconciliation and communication skills, and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• At least one year’s recent experience in a Credit Control role.
• Experience working in a fast-paced finance environment.
• Strong account reconciliation, cash allocation and query resolution skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach.
• Confidence managing your own workload and handling challenging conversations.
• Good organisational skills and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of customer accounts and proactively collecting outstanding payments.
• Building strong relationships with customers and resolving account queries and disputes.
• Reconciling accounts, investigating discrepancies and managing cash allocation.
• Issuing invoices, statements, payment reminders and other account documentation.
• Monitoring aged debt reports and following up on overdue accounts.
• Conducting regular reviews of outstanding debt and providing updates on collection performance.
• Working closely with internal departments to resolve queries and improve collection processes.
• Supporting the achievement of cash collection targets and credit control KPIs.
