Job summary

Just Temps in Halstead, Essex is seeking a Credit Controller on a temporary basis for up to 4 weeks. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with an hourly rate of £20.00. This is an excellent chance to contribute to accounts receivable and finance administration in a busy finance team.

You will chase outstanding payments, reconcile ledgers, and support the wider finance function while delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Credit Controller or Accounts Receivable roles.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience handling high-volume ledgers is a plus.
• Proficient IT skills including Excel and finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated customer ledger and ensure accounts remain within agreed credit terms.
• Contact customers by telephone and email to chase outstanding payments.
• Allocate and reconcile customer payments accurately.
• Investigate and resolve invoice and account queries promptly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records.
• Escalate overdue or problematic accounts where appropriate.
• Work closely with the wider finance team to resolve queries and ensure timely payment.
• Assist with aged debt reporting and regular ledger reviews.
• Support wider accounts receivable and finance administration as required.

Credit Controller- We re currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller on a temporary basis for up to 4 weeks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in credit control, accounts receivable, or finance administration who is available at short notice. This role is based in Halstead, Essex.

About the Role:

This is a full-time role, Monday Friday 8:30am - 5pm. Hourly rate circa £20.00 per hour.

About You:

• Previous experience in a Credit Controller / Accounts Receivable position.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Confidence speaking with customers regarding outstanding payments.
• Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and finance/accounting systems.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
• Experience working with high-volume ledgers or within a fast-paced finance environment would be advantageous.
