Howett Thorpe in Bracknell is seeking a Credit Controller to join the finance team. The role offers hybrid working after probation and a supportive culture with clear career growth opportunities.

You will manage customer ledgers, chase debt, and prepare financial reports, working closely with the Finance Manager and a small team. The position is permanent, full-time, and located in Bracknell, Berkshire.

• Previous experience with Credit Control duties.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills.

Mansioni

• Updating cashbooks and reviewing foreign bank accounts for incoming funds
• Taking ownership of customer ledger and proactively managing outstanding balances
• Chasing outstanding debt, resolving queries, and initiating proceedings where required
• Reconciling key customer and national accounts, raising discrepancies with internal teams
• Producing regular reports and invoices including uploading to customer portals
• Preparing consolidated reports, customer statements, and month-end information for the Finance Controller
• Managing credit balances, debit notes, back orders, and exchange rate updates
• Support with other relevant finance & admin duties as required

Credit Controller – About The Role

In this role you will be reporting into the Finance Manager and will be working within a finance team of 8. You will be working alongside 1 other Credit Controller, and your key responsibilities will be:

• Updating cashbooks and reviewing foreign bank accounts for incoming funds
• Taking ownership of customer ledger and proactively managing outstanding balances
