Job summary

Insight Recruitment Solutions Limited is partnering with a Lloyd's Insurance Syndicate to recruit a Credit Control Team Leader in London on a 12-month maternity cover contract. The role focuses on leading the Credit Control Team, reducing aged debt and ensuring timely premium collection in a fast-paced Lloyd's environment.

You will mentor the team, set objectives, review performance, and work with brokers, coverholders and underwriters to achieve payment targets.

Qualifications

• Proven team management experience with resourcing, training and development.
• Strong understanding of Lloyd's and London market operational processes and market practices.
• Essential: Understanding of Slips, endorsements and closings; experience with Credit Control reconciliation.
• Experience with process development and continuous improvement in a Credit Control environment.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced Lloyd's market.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Credit Control Team; mentoring team members to reduce aged debt and establish strong relationships with Lloyd's brokers, coverholders and lead insurers
• Set objectives; regularly review individual and team performance against targets, providing constructive feedback
• Monitor and review premium and unallocated cash postings for accuracy; produce MI reporting and daily/weekly/monthly team metrics
• Liaise with external parties (clients, brokers, underwriters) and cross-functional internal stakeholders to achieve payment objectives

London Fixed-Term Contract (12 months, Maternity Cover)

About the Role

A leading Lloyd's Insurance Syndicate is seeking an experienced Credit Control Team Leader to cover a maternity leave absence. You will manage and mentor the Credit Control Team, driving performance on aged debt reduction and premium collection whilst maintaining strong relationships with Lloyd's brokers, coverholders and the central market. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced Lloyd's environment.
