Job summary

Foley, part of Young’s pubs, is seeking a Sous Chef to lead a busy kitchen in Claygate. You will play a pivotal role in creating fresh, seasonal dishes and delivering outstanding service in a welcoming pub environment.

You will manage the kitchen team, assist with rota planning, training, and health & safety, while collaborating with the Head Chef on new menus and daily specials. A proactive approach to improving sales and guest satisfaction is valued.

Qualifications

• We are looking for an existing Sous Chef or Senior CDP with a natural leadership style.
• A passion for producing quality, fresh food in a welcoming environment.
• Strong communication skills and hands-on kitchen management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the kitchen team, including rota planning and training.
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed at all times.
• Collaborate with Head Chef to design and deliver new dishes and daily specials.
• Drive GP and labour controls through planning and efficiency.
• Support front-of-house during service to maintain excellent guest experience.
