Job summary

The Fox and Hounds, part of Fuller’s, is a traditional country pub known for cask ales, fresh food and a warm, cosy atmosphere. We’re looking for a hands-on Sous Chef to deputise for the Head Chef and oversee kitchen operations when they’re away.

You will lead a team to deliver creative, seasonal dishes made from local ingredients, maintain high food safety standards, and help bring the kitchen to life with fresh ideas.

Qualifications

• Proven hygiene qualification and strong food safety knowledge.
• Experience handling fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Responsibilities

• As a deputy to the Head Chef, you will take full control of the kitchen when they are away.
• Bring the best out of the kitchen team and maintain high service standards.
• Take pride in every successful service.
• Lead and mentor the kitchen staff to ensure consistency and quality.
