Job summary

Fuller’s in The Mill at Elstead is seeking a committed Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and step in when they are away. You will craft fresh dishes from seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and help run a busy kitchen with pride and teamwork.

You’ll bring strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene, inspiring the kitchen team, maintaining high standards, and contributing to a warm dining experience for guests at our riverside pub.

Qualifications

• Hygiene qualification required
• Excellent food knowledge and food safety awareness
• Ability to lead kitchen team in Head Chef's absence
• Pride in preparing fresh, seasonal local dishes

Responsibilities

• Take full control of the kitchen when the Head Chef is away
• Lead and motivate the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes
• Ensure consistent food hygiene and safety standards
• Collaborate with front-of-house to deliver a great guest experience
