Job summary

Enemy of Boredom Academy in Bristol is seeking a creative Learning Support Assistant to work 2 days per week on a fixed-term contract. Immediate start and PAYE employment at £14 per hour.

You will support students with SEND, including ASD/ADHD and anxiety, providing in-class and small-group support, helping learners access activities and reach goals in an inclusive environment. The role may extend beyond 12 months depending on funding and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Experience in a school/education setting preferred.
• Patient, empathetic and proactive approach.
• Strong classroom management and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class and small-group support to help learners access planned activities and achieve learning outcomes.
• Support communication, attention, emotional regulation and positive behaviour using agreed strategies.
• Promote learner independence, confidence and appropriate peer interaction.
• Assist with EHCP targets delivery and progress recording where applicable.
• Maintain professional boundaries and support safeguarding and wellbeing.
