Location: Office Base is London, Television Centre. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.

ABOUT OUR CREATIVE TEAM
The Creative Team within the Brands and Licensing division manages all product development approval across all merchandise produced globally. Working closely with their commercial team counterparts, members of the creative team work closely with licensed partners to develop and produce merchandise across BBC Studio's brands.
The Creative Team is also responsible for the output of styleguides and assets that us shared with partners externally to use across merchandise and other brand touchpoints.
THE ROLE
The Creative Product Development Manager will be responsible for providing a quality design, product development and approval service for consumer products licensing business at BBC Studios, with a primary focus on Bluey product.
Responsibilities:
- Managing product development from concept through to production on assigned brands, covering both UK and EMEA ranges, for the assigned preschool property, ensuring creative excellence and integrity across all brands.
- Manage high profile global fashion collaborations - develop bespoke assets if required, leading on creative direction which remains on brand but also pushing through trends.
- Provide a quality design service to licensees, ensuring a high degree of design input, range planning and creative and commercial guidance to maximise the brand and commercial potential of the portfolio.
- Work with all relevant teams and stakeholders to ensure development is on brand and adheres to all product development and approval stages.
- Work closely with rights owners and where necessary mediate between licensees and rights owners to overcome specific design and market needs as well as technical requirements of licensees and retailers without loss of brand integrity.
- Actively evaluate product development needs of partners beyond core brand materials. Manage development of creative materials from photoshoots through to Style Guides.
- Manage style guide creation - relationship management with agency, animation studio and internal stakeholders from beginning through to end, with sign off and overseeing from Head of Product Development.
- Work with the Marketing, Sales and Retail departments to pull together inspiration boards and product development plans for presentation purposes.
- Support expansion into new territories and align closely with brands, legal and commercial teams growing in these territories.
- Leading and managing creative across local live and / or retail activations, working closely with Head of Live attractions. Managing approvals and asset request with brand owners and licensee - required to work under specified timelines.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?ESSENTIAL CRITERIA;- Extensive product development experience working on rights owner / IP owner side as licensor
- Pre-school licensing experience
- Hardlines and Softlines product development experience - this role will cover all categories including FMCG - cross category development experience is essential
- Knowledge and experience of working with agents and EMEA markets
- Experience of Mediabox box approvals and styleguide sites
