A Cambridge-area secondary school is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will help students develop musical skills, explore traditions and gain confidence through performance and composition.

The role requires delivering a structured curriculum that blends theory with listening, analysis, composition and performance, with inclusive practice and opportunities to support ensembles and school events.

Qualifikationen

• A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS or PGCE or equivalent.
• The ability to teach Music across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong knowledge of practical and theoretical Music.

Aufgaben

• Deliver Music lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with curriculum expectations and exam specifications.
• Plan lessons developing practical musicianship, theoretical knowledge and listening skills.
• Teach rhythm, pitch, melody, harmony, structure and notation.
• Differentiate activities to meet students of varying abilities.
• Develop composition tasks enabling creative musical ideas.
• Support individual and group performances and improve technique.
• Use instruments, digital music technology and other resources to aid learning.
• Assess work and provide targeted feedback for improvement.
• Maintain clear classroom expectations and encourage collaboration.
• Contribute to curriculum development and share resources within the department.
• Encourage participation in musical enrichment and school events.
