Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a motivated Learning Support Assistant for a school in Kingswood, United Kingdom. You will work closely with class teachers to provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils access learning and stay engaged throughout the day.

The role suits someone calm, patient and resilient who can build positive relationships with children, staff and families. Experience in schools or childcare is desirable, and training or DBS checks will be supported.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in schools, childcare, youth work or similar settings.
• Calm, patient and resilient, even during challenging situations.
• Confident building positive relationships and setting clear boundaries.
• Comfortable supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH or additional needs.
• Able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
• Helping children access learning both inside and outside the classroom
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families
• Supporting children with additional learning, communication or behavioural needs
• Working alongside teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
