Job summary

Lodestone House, part of Compass Group UK&I, seeks a Junior Sous Chef to lead on-site food preparation, menu execution and quality standards. You will manage stock levels and hygiene, working closely with the leadership team to maintain exceptional kitchen operations.

You will oversee menu changes, respond to guest feedback, and help develop new concepts while upholding the company’s brand and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Experience in a similar chef role.
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate.
• Flexible approach to working.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services.
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to improve services.
• Supporting with the creation of new menus and concepts.
• Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning and hygiene compliance.
