Job summary

Advinia Healthcare is hiring a Chef at Parklands Court Care Home. You will lead day-to-day kitchen operations, plan menus, and cook meals for residents, staff and visitors. The role includes catering for events and maintaining high food hygiene standards.

You will work a 40-hour week with an emphasis on quality, service, and cost control, while enjoying a supportive team environment and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• GCSE English or equivalent required.
• City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 in basic food preparation.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate required; intermediate desirable.
• Experience in a similar care-home environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and staff.
• Maintain food storage, stock rotation and HACCP records.
• Prepare, plan and cook meals meeting dietary needs.
• Serve Residents, staff and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Assist with meals for events and catering for special occasions.
• Monitor food costings and adhere to safety standards.
