Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a Chef to deliver high-quality food in a structured, client-facing environment. You will help lead kitchen operations, develop menus, and maintain strong customer service within a market-leading UK food service group.

The role supports a 40-hour week with 5 out of 7 shifts, offering opportunities for progression, healthcare benefits, and staff discounts as part of a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Passion for great-tasting food and customer service.
• Experience supervising a kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve food services.
• Listening to customer feedback to drive improvements.
• Supporting the creation of new menus and food concepts.
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.
