Job summary

Compass Group UK&I ESS Defence is seeking an ambitious Chef to deliver exceptional food experiences for Defence on a full-time basis (35 hours per week). You will prepare and serve high-quality meals while supporting menu changes and new concepts in a market-leading food service company.

Ideally you hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent and a Food Hygiene certificate, with experience supervising a team and in a similar chef role. A flexible approach to working is essential.

• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.
• Listen to customer feedback to improve services.
• Assist with creating new menus and concepts.
• Represent Defence and maintain a positive brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
