Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, Defence sector, is recruiting a Chef on a full-time basis (40 hours/week) to prepare and serve high-quality food for our clients. You will lead a small kitchen team, implement menus, and drive improvements while maintaining rigorous hygiene standards and brand integrity.

You should hold City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent and a Food Hygiene certificate. A flexible approach and strong customer service are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.
• Listen to customer feedback to drive improvements.
• Help create new menus and food concepts.
• Represent Defence and protect brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning and hygiene compliance.
