Job description

Creative Artistic Youth Worker

Start Date: Term 5/6 OR September 2025

Location: Swindon

Hours: 08:30-15:30 Mon-Fri (Part-Time roles available)

Protocol Education is currently working with various secondary schools throughout Bristol, seeking candidates with a strong background in Creative Arts.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting students with a range of special educational needs, both 1:1 and in small groups.
  • Assisting teachers with whole-class learning and behaviour management.
  • Bringing calm, confidence, and compassion to busy classrooms throughout the school week.

Leveraging your creative background in arts, sensory, therapy, or drama, you will support SEND pupils with diverse needs and emotions, fostering engagement, confidence, and positive learning experiences.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Arts background/degree, sensory or therapy background, drama background/degree, or SEND experience.
Candidate Profile:
  • Believes in the potential of every student to make outstanding progress.
  • Is rigorous, relentless, creative, and inspirational as a leader.
  • Utilizes diverse teaching methods to deliver engaging lessons and CPD sessions.
  • Is caring, passionate, and able to build strong relationships with staff, students, parents, and the community.
