The Priory Care Home in Chippenham is seeking an Activities Coordinator to design, organise and deliver a varied programme of activities for residents, keeping them engaged, connected and living life to the full. You’ll build relationships with residents and families, tailoring each activity to individual histories and interests.

This part-time role offers flexible hours, full training including dementia awareness, and a budget for activities.

Qualifications

• Creative, enthusiastic and organised personality is essential.
• Experience in a care, leisure, education or community setting preferred.
• Ability to engage and motivate residents of varying abilities and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a diverse weekly programme of activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
• Organise themed events, seasonal celebrations, and community visits.
• Arrange and accompany residents on local outings.
• Engage residents living with dementia through meaningful, person-centred activities.
• Document activities and contribute relevant information to residents’ care plans.
• Build and maintain relationships with families and community organisations.
• Source resources, materials and external entertainers within budget.
• Capture and share activity highlights for family communications and social media.
