About The Priory Care Home, Chippenham

The Priory Care Home is a privately owned residential care home in Chippenham, Wiltshire, caring for up to 23 residents in a warm, Edwardian Grade II listed home. We pride ourselves on not just meeting our residents’ physical care needs, but on enriching their daily lives through connection, creativity, stimulation and joy.

Our activities programme is central to what makes The Priory so special. We believe that every resident, regardless of their level of care needs, deserves a fulfilling, engaging, active life — and our Activities Coordinator plays a pivotal role in making that a daily reality.

This is a wonderfully creative and deeply rewarding role. As Activities Coordinator you will design, organise and deliver a varied, stimulating programme of activities, events and outings that keeps our residents engaged, entertained, connected to their community and living life to the full.

You will build genuine relationships with residents, getting to know their life histories, interests and preferences, so that every activity is truly person-centred. You will also liaise with families and community groups to bring new experiences into the home and take residents out to enjoy local events and attractions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of activities would I be running?

Do I need to have worked in a care home before?

Experience in a care or leisure setting is preferred but not essential. What matters most is a genuine passion for working with older people and the creativity to deliver engaging, person-centred activities. Full training and dementia awareness support is provided.

Is a driving licence required?

A full UK driving licence is desirable as it makes arranging outings much easier, but it is not an absolute requirement for the role.
