Job summary

Watford House Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, in High Peak, seeks an Activities Coordinator to enhance daily life through engaging, person-centred activities for residents, including those living with dementia. The role offers a supportive team and training, with a schedule that includes alternate weekends.

The successful candidate will plan, deliver and tailor activities to individual interests, building relationships and promoting wellbeing and social interaction in a caring environment.

  • Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities.

  • Work as part of the wider team with training and support provided.
  • Be available to work alternate weekends.

Job description

Our residential home is in the beautiful High Peak, providing high quality Residential, Respite and Dementia care for 36-residents.

Activities Coordinator Contract
  • £12.71 per hour
  • Contracted to 30 hours per week
  • Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview

As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia.

Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial, however candidates with transferable skills from roles such as hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply
