Job summary

Victoria Gardens Care Home in Coventry is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enhance daily life for residents through engaging, person-centred activities. You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities tailored to individual interests and care needs, including those living with dementia.

Working with the wider team, you will build strong relationships, support independence and wellbeing, and contribute to a warm, inclusive atmosphere.

Qualifications

• A creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• A genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial, however candidates with transferable skills from roles such as hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities.
• Tailor activities to individual interests, abilities and care needs.
• Build strong relationships to understand preferences and encourage inclusive participation (including residents living with dementia).
• Work as part of the wider team to create a positive, stimulating environment.
