Job summary

Dovehaven Care Homes – Cedar Garden in Preston is seeking an Activities Co-ordinator with a passion for enriching the lives of elderly residents. The role requires planning engaging social and recreational events, both in and outside the home, and consulting with residents to tailor activities to their interests.

You will work within a supportive team on a rota, with every other weekend, 30 hours across three days, and a Real Living Wage. DBS clearance is required and full induction provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care setting preferred.
• Enhanced DBS required.
• Able to work within a team and on a rota.
• Commitment to improving residents' social activities.

Responsibilities

• Create ideas and organise social and recreational events for residents.
• Consult with residents to identify interests and tailor activities.
• Plan activities to support physical and mental wellbeing.
