Job summary

Interaction Technical is seeking an experienced Crane Technician to service, inspect and repair HMF and PM lorry-mounted cranes at customer sites across the UK. You will diagnose hydraulic, mechanical and electrical faults and perform on-site servicing in a field-based role with training and development provided.

The role offers a competitive basic salary (£40,000-£50,000) with OTE £60,000+, overtime at 1.5x, a company van, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience on truck-mounted cranes and lifting equipment.
• Strong hydraulic fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence and field service capability.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Certification in LOLER inspections and crane systems appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HMF and PM cranes.
• Diagnose hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults on site.
• Perform LOLER inspections, testing, and certification work.
• Manufacture, repair, and replace hydraulic hoses as needed.
• Attend breakdowns and provide on-site support to customers.
• Complete inspections and service documentation accurately.
• Ensure all work complies with safety and industry standards.
• Deliver a professional service while maintaining customer relationships.

The Role

As a Crane Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, inspection, and repair of HMF and PM lorry-mounted cranes at customer sites throughout the UK.

This role would suit a technician with experience in cranes, hydraulics, lifting equipment, plant machinery, commercial vehicles, agricultural equipment, or other heavy engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HMF and PM cranes
• Diagnose and rectify hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults
• Conduct LOLER inspections, testing, and certification work
• Manufacture, repair, and replace hydraulic hoses
• Attend breakdowns and provide effective on-site support
• Complete inspections and service documentation accurately
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with industry standards
• Deliver a professional service while maintaining strong customer relationships

What We're Looking For

• Experience working on truck-mounted cranes, hydraulic equipment, plant machinery, commercial vehicles, or lifting equipment
• Strong hydraulic fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Ability to work independently in a field service environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Positive and professional approach to customer service
