Job summary

Interaction Technical is seeking a Crane Technician to service, inspect, and repair HMF and PM lorry-mounted cranes across the UK. The role requires field-based work at customer sites with nationwide travel and a competitive package.

Ideal candidates have crane/hydraulic experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a full UK driving licence. Training and certification support are offered to develop your expertise and career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience working on truck-mounted cranes, hydraulic equipment, or lifting gear.
• Strong hydraulic fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Ability to work independently in a field service environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HMF and PM cranes.
• Diagnose and rectify hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults.
• Conduct LOLER inspections, testing, and certification work.
• Manufacture, repair, and replace hydraulic hoses.
• Attend breakdowns and provide on-site support.
• Complete inspections and service documentation accurately.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with industry standards.
• Deliver a professional service while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 Basic (OTE £60,000+), Overtime paid @ 1.5x

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with overtime available

The Role

As a Crane Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, inspection, and repair of HMF and PM lorry-mounted cranes at customer sites throughout the UK.

This role would suit a technician with experience in cranes, hydraulics, lifting equipment, plant machinery, commercial vehicles, agricultural equipment, or other heavy engineering sectors.
