Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Crane Engineer for a Purfleet, Essex-based role with permanent, full-time hours. The position involves servicing, repair and installation of lorry-loader cranes and vehicle-mounted lifting gear, across workshop and field environments.

Monday-Friday, 6:00am-5:00pm, with 31 days holiday and overtime paid after 8 hours. The ideal candidate will have crane and lifting equipment experience, with a strong background in hydraulics, CAN bus and vehicle

Qualifications

• Experience with cranes, lifting equipment, hydraulics, HGV equipment or vehicle-mounted machinery.
• LOLER/Thorough Examination experience is beneficial; ALLMI qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing lorry-loader and truck-mounted lifting equipment.
• Diagnosing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical faults.
• Installing, wiring, testing and commissioning new systems.
• Carrying out inspections, testing and LOLER-related work where qualified.

Basic £50,960, Overtime paid after 8 hours daily, at x1.5, 10 hours a week available OTE c£70K a year, Purfleet , Essex, Permanent.Monday-Friday, 6:00am-5pm, 1 hour, lunch break, 31days Holiday Increased Entitlement with Service

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Crane Engineer to join a well-established specialist engineering business providing servicing, repair and installation of lorry-loader cranes and vehicle-mounted lifting equipment.

Duties of the HGV Crane Engineer

Working across hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems, you will be responsible for:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing lorry-loader and truck-mounted lifting equipment
• Diagnosing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical faults.
• Working on pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses and hydraulic control systems.
• Fault-finding on 24V electrical, CAN bus and electronic control systems.
• Carrying out planned servicing and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Installing, wiring, testing and commissioning new systems.
• Completing inspections, testing and LOLER-related work where qualified.
• Mechanical repairs, component replacement and occasional fabrication/welding.
• Providing technical support and equipment handovers to customers.
• Field based and workshop-based role
