Job summary

The Elms Surgery are seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly organised Registered CQC Manager to join our GP practice. This is an exciting leadership role to ensure safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led services while maintaining full compliance with CQC standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a GP practice or Primary Care setting.
• Experience managing CQC compliance and inspections.
• Knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and NHS Primary Care regulations.
• Experience in governance, quality improvement, and risk management.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in IT and GP systems.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
• Leading the practice’s CQC compliance programme and maintaining inspection readiness.
• Developing and embedding robust governance and quality assurance systems.
• Managing clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Leading investigations into incidents, significant events, and safeguarding concerns.
• Maintaining the practice risk register and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Coordinating audits and ensuring improvements are implemented.
• Reviewing and updating practice policies and procedures.
• Monitoring mandatory training and regulatory compliance.
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, patient safety, and learning throughout the practice.
