Job summary

Your Quality Care is seeking a Registered Manager to lead client-focused, high-quality care services. You will coordinate staff rostering, supervise the team, develop care plans, ensure compliance, and drive service development across multiple locations.

In this role you will handle referrals, coordinate support, manage records, maintain standards, and provide out-of-hours on-call coverage, working closely with clinical leadership to deliver person-centred care.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the effective rostering of staff resources so that contractual requirements are met.
  • Manage and support the staff team.
  • Work creatively to provide choice and flexibility of support for clients and their families.
  • Carry out assessments of client needs and develop care plans detailing the services to be provided.
  • Understanding the funding and contract requirements of all care services within your designated area(s) of responsibility.
  • Liaising with referring agencies and individuals to coordinate new care assessments in line with contract requirements and client needs.
  • Working with support staff to coordinate a reliable and responsive service, including arranging cover for staff absences.
  • Using the computerised rostering system's search functions to ensure staff are allocated effectively and efficiently, taking into account specific skills and training requirements.
  • Monitoring the workload of both new and existing support staff and ensuring required hours are allocated appropriately.
  • Ensuring all client records within designated areas of responsibility are fully completed and contain all mandatory information.
  • Updating the computerised scheduling system with any changes to client details, including care provision and funding changes.
  • Ensuring all unallocated visits resulting from planned or unplanned staff leave are covered and that systems, care staff, clients and families are informed of any changes.
  • Working closely with the Care and Training teams to ensure mandatory training and supervisory visits are scheduled appropriately and clients receive alternative support where necessary.
  • Recording any breaks in service provision, including hospital admissions and respite care, accurately on the scheduling system and informing Carer Support staff.
  • Allocating support in line with current funding priorities, capacity, and restrictions.
  • Ensuring all visits and breaks are accurately verified, either electronically or manually, and that any unverified visits are checked and verified weekly.
  • Contributing to the development and expansion of Your Quality Care services in response to the needs of clients, their families, and staff.
  • Building and maintaining positive working relationships with statutory and voluntary agencies to help achieve the aims and objectives of Your Quality Care.
  • Support, assist, and advise Care Workers and external agencies with care coordination queries.
  • Respond appropriately to complaints and concerns raised by staff and families in line with Your Quality Care policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Your Quality Care policies and procedures, as well as relevant national and local policies, guidelines, and standards relating to Care Services.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and partner agencies involved in the care and wellbeing of service users.
  • Keep the Nominated Individual informed of current activities and any significant issues.
  • Contribute to service development by providing new ideas and adopting a flexible approach to changing service needs.
  • Support appropriate service delivery by providing practical and creative solutions to problems and reallocating resources where required.
  • Provide the out-of-hours on-call service.
  • Recording and monitoring the day-to-day demands placed upon the service and allocated area.
  • Checking visit records and ensuring any required follow-up actions are completed with the relevant teams.Updating assessments whenever changes are required.
  • Compiling and maintaining accurate computerised and written records, including accident and incident reports, in line with Your Quality Care requirements, Statutory Bodies, and National Care Standards.
  • Attend study days, seminars, and training courses, in consultation with the Nominated Individual, based on your individual development needs.
  • Attend and contribute to regular team and locality meetings as required.
  • Participate in a minimum of three-monthly supervision meetings and an annual appraisal with the Clinical Director.
  • Undertake any other ad hoc projects or tasks of a similar nature as required, at the discretion of Your Quality Care.
