Job summary

Softcat is seeking a PROS Functional Consultant to bridge business stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring PROS Smart CPQ solutions meet business needs across Lead-to-Quote and Quote-to-Order journeys.

Working in a cross-functional Agile squad with D365, PROS, Dataverse and integration services, you’ll translate requirements into user stories and functional specs, supporting backlog refinement with Product Owners and guiding CPQ configurations.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing or configuring enterprise CPQ solutions, ideally PROS Smart CPQ.
• Strong understanding of CPQ processes including product catalogues, guided selling, product configuration, pricing, discounting, approvals, quoting and document generation.
• Ability to translate complex commercial and sales processes into scalable platform-based functional designs.
• Understanding of data and process boundaries between CPQ, CRM and downstream enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges and opportunities for process improvement.
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions and process mapping activities.
• Gather, document and prioritise business requirements.
• Translate requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
• Support backlog creation and refinement alongside Product Owners.
• Build a detailed understanding of configure-price-quote processes, including product selection, configuration, pricing, discounting, approvals, quoting and downstream hand-offs.
• Map end-to-end sales journeys across PROS Smart CPQ, Dynamics 365 / Dataverse and dependent enterprise services, identifying ownership, dependencies and data requirements.
