Job summary

Tradewind Education in Doncaster is inviting enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our team for the 2026/27 academic year. Work across a range of welcoming secondary schools with flexible day-to-day supply, short-term placements, or longer assignments, depending on your availability.

No QTS required; experience with young people and strong classroom management are valued. You’ll deliver pre-planned lessons, keep students engaged, and benefit from dedicated support from your Tradewind

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people; school-based experience desirable but not essential.
• Confident communication with secondary-age students.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Organised, reliable and adaptable.
• Hold or obtain Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

What Does a Cover Supervisor Do?

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll step into the classroom to deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. You'll ensure students stay engaged, focused, and on task while maintaining a positive learning environment.

No teaching qualification? No problem! If you have experience working with young people and strong classroom management skills, we'd love to hear from you.

We're Looking For People Who:

• Have experience working with children or young people (school-based experience is desirable but not essential)
• Are confident communicating with secondary-age students
• Can manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Are adaptable, organised, and reliable
• Have a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved
• Hold, or are willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
