Job summary

Tradewind Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors to join our team for the 2026/27 academic year in Doncaster and surrounding areas. You will deliver pre-planned lessons in secondary schools, ensuring engagement and a positive learning environment.

No teaching qualification is required, but experience with young people and strong classroom management are valued. We offer flexible day-to-day, short-term, and long-term roles with training and support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• Confident communicating with secondary-age students.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Adaptable, organized and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Keep students engaged, focused and on task while maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Support learners and adapt to varied school settings.
• Receive guidance from a Tradewind consultant throughout placements.

What Does a Cover Supervisor Do?

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll step into the classroom to deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. You'll ensure students stay engaged, focused, and on task while maintaining a positive learning environment. No teaching qualification? No problem! If you have experience working with young people and strong classroom management skills, we'd love to hear from you.

We're Looking For People Who:

• Have experience working with children or young people (school-based experience is desirable but not essential)
• Are confident communicating with secondary-age students
• Can manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Are adaptable, organised, and reliable
• Have a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved
• Hold, or are willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
