Empowering Learning in Oldham is seeking Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools on a flexible supply basis. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage behaviour and help pupils complete work, in a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

The role suits graduates, aspiring teachers, teaching assistants or those with youth work experience seeking flexible education work. DBS and references are required, with the right to work in the UK.

Are you confident, reliable and passionate about supporting young people? We are currently recruiting enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Oldham. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking for flexible work within education.

The Role

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain engaged with their learning.
• Support pupils in completing set work.
• Maintain a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Follow the school's safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Ideally has experience working with young people in a school, sports coaching, youth work, mentoring or similar setting.
• Confident managing classroom behaviour, including challenging behaviour.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Available to work a minimum of 3 days per week.
• Adaptable and able to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Essential Requirements

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional references covering the last two years.
• Right to work in the UK.
