Job summary

Fakenham Academy seeks a Cover Supervisor to join our Cover Team and start as soon as possible. You will supervise classes during teacher absences and support the learning environment across the school to ensure continuity of learning for all pupils.

Applicants should be adaptable with strong interpersonal skills and be capable of working with students aged 11 to 16. A safeguarding commitment is essential and enhanced DBS checks will be required prior to appointment.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent.
• Educated to at least A‑Level (or equivalent).
• A degree level qualification would be an advantage; relevant experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absence and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Provide tutor-time supervision, break/lunch duties, and flexible support across the school.
• Assist the Pastoral and SEND teams and carry out administrative tasks as required.
• Safeguarding checks are required; enhanced DBS checks will be undertaken before employment begins.
• Probationary period for the first three months, with potential extension and notice as applicable.
