Job summary

Fakenham Academy in Fakenham is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our Cover Team with immediate start. The role involves supervising classes during teacher absence, tutoring-time supervision, and assisting across pastoral/SEND teams to ensure consistent learning and student welfare.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be adaptable, and able to engage 11–16-year-olds while maintaining a positive learning environment. DBS checks and safeguarding compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people aged 11–16 is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to supervise classes and support learning across the school.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absence and maintain order.
• Provide tutor-time supervision and break/lunch duties.
• Support pastoral and SEND teams and assist with admin tasks as needed.
• Help ensure continuity of learning and student welfare across the academy.
