Cover Supervisor – Term Time
Location: Maidstone, Kent
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking a motivated Cover Supervisor (CS) to join a respected school in Maidstone on a term-time basis. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain focused and engaged. You will manage behaviour, support students with their work, and maintain a positive learning environment throughout the school day.

Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor (CS):

• Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, following lesson plans and instructions.
• Manage student behaviour and maintain a calm and orderly classroom environment.
• Support students in completing assigned work and assist with any queries.
• Report any issues or concerns to teaching staff or senior leadership as appropriate.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed within the classroom.
• Support the smooth running of the school day by being punctual and prepared.
• Assist with administrative or other duties as required by the school.
• Experience working in a school or educational environment as a Cover Supervisor or similar is desirable.
• CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or similar
• A degree in Education, psychology or similar.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage behaviour effectively and confidently.
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable.
• Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps)
• An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
