Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in the Sheffield area. Immediate starts available for day-to-day supply and long-term roles, with flexible full- and part-time options.

The role involves leading classes in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-set work, and maintaining engagement and discipline in line with school policies. Ideal for graduates or those with experience working with young people.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people is desirable.
• Confident in managing groups of 11-16 year olds.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Adaptable, professional and reliable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a number of secondary schools in the Sheffield area. We have a high demand for both day-to-day supply staff and long-term cover supervisors, with immediate starts available.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced cover supervisors, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading classes during the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will deliver pre-set work, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged and on task throughout the lesson.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across a range of secondary school subjects
