Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting Cover Supervisors for secondary schools across Shropshire. You will supervise whole classes in teacher absences, deliver pre-set work, and support pupils' learning while maintaining a positive environment.

This role offers long-term and short-term contracts with potential for permanent positions. The ideal candidate has GCSE Maths and English, NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant or willingness to work towards, and excellent communication and safeguarding commitment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to manage behaviour positively and effectively.
• A proactive, flexible and team‑oriented approach with a commitment to safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during teacher absences and deliver pre-set work.
