Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 in secondary schools.
• Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring understanding of work set.
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Encouraging students to stay focused, engaged and motivated.
• Supporting students with learning and answering general questions.
• Following school policies including safeguarding and behaviour management.
• Building positive relationships with students and staff.
• Managing routines to ensure lessons run smoothly.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff on engagement and completed work.
• Supporting students with additional learning needs where required.
• Adapting to different classrooms and school environments confidently.

The Role

• Supervising classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 in secondary schools.
• Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students understand the work set.
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Encouraging students to remain focused, engaged and motivated.
• Supporting students with their learning and answering general questions where appropriate.
• Following school policies and procedures, including behaviour management and safeguarding.
• Building positive professional relationships with students and school staff.
• Managing classroom routines and ensuring lessons run smoothly.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement, behaviour and completed work.
• Supporting students with additional learning needs where required.
• Adapting confidently to different classrooms, subjects and school environments.

You will not be expected to plan or prepare lessons, as work will already be provided by the school.
