Cover Supervisor (Science Cover)
Location: Birmingham (B14)
Start Date: September / New Academic Year
Day Rate: £95 to £100

Elevate Supply is supporting a large secondary school in Birmingham with an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ in recruiting a Science Cover Supervisor. This supply position begins in September, working with mixed-ability KS3 and KS4 classes of up to 30 pupils. You'll be supervising Science lessons using pre-set work, maintaining focus and behaviour in a supportive and structured environment. This opportunity has arisen due to a career break in the Science department, and we’re onboarding throughout May.

Role Responsibilities:

Supervise pre-planned Science lessons in the absence of the class teacher

Ensure pupils remain on task and engaged with the work set

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Provide brief feedback to the teaching team after each lesson

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils preferred

Confident managing classroom behaviour and keeping pupils on task

Strong communication skills and ability to follow lesson plans

Available to start in September for a supply role
