Cover Supervisor – English Cover
Location: Birmingham (B23)
Start Date: September
Day Rate: £95 to £100

We’re working with a supportive secondary school in Birmingham to appoint an English Cover Supervisor for supply cover from September. The role involves delivering pre-planned English lessons to Key Stage 3 classes of around 25 students. This post has become available due to a staff member taking a career break, and the school is keen to onboard the successful candidate in May to ensure readiness for the new academic year.

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-prepared English lessons to KS3 pupils in the absence of the classroom teacher

Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment

Support students with tasks, encouraging participation and engagement

Manage behaviour in line with the school’s policies

Candidate Requirements:

Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or educational setting

Confident leading a classroom and managing behaviour

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Degree or equivalent experience in English or a related subject is desirable
