Cover Supervisor – Maths Cover (KS3 and KS4)
Location: Birmingham, B30
Start Date: September (new academic year)
Day Rate: £95 to £100 per day
A secondary school in the B30 area of Birmingham is looking for a Cover Supervisor to deliver Maths cover across Year 8 and Year 10 groups, with class sizes ranging from 25 to 30 pupils. You’ll be responsible for maintaining focus during lessons, supporting students with pre-set worksheets, and reporting back to the department. The school holds a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and is known for its structured behaviour policy. The vacancy has come up due to long-term sickness cover. We’re onboarding in May for a September start.
Role Responsibilities
Deliver and manage Maths lesson plans provided by teaching staff
Maintain a calm and productive classroom environment
Provide basic support with numeracy tasks
Monitor engagement and report to the Maths department
Candidate Requirements
Comfortable supervising secondary-aged pupils
Confident with Maths content at KS3 and KS4 level
Able to manage classroom behaviour effectively
