Job summary

Randstad Education in the Southampton area is seeking a capable Cover Supervisor to supervise lessons and support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work in vibrant secondary schools, delivering prepared work and maintaining an orderly environment, while gaining hands-on classroom experience.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates with strong communication, resilience, and a proactive attitude. DBS via Update Service is preferred; term-time hours are 8:30am–3:30pm with fixed school

Qualifications

• Degree level or higher qualification required; recent graduates encouraged.
• Experience with young people through tutoring, youth work, volunteering, or coaching.
• Strong communication, resilience and a positive, proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Supervise secondary students (KS3 & KS4) across subjects during teacher absences.
• Maintain a positive, orderly classroom environment and support student learning.
• Deliver prepared work and ensure students stay on task.
• Collect completed work and provide feedback on progress and behaviour.
• Uphold school policies on behaviour management and safeguarding.
