Randstad Education is seeking a Cover Supervisor for Southampton to supervise Key Stages 3 and 4 across multiple schools. You will deliver prepared work during teacher absences and help maintain a positive classroom environment, gaining valuable classroom experience.

Ideal for recent graduates or aspiring teachers, this role offers a direct route into teaching with a focus on classroom supervision and safeguarding. DBS clearance is required, with opportunities across Hampshire schools.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree level or higher education qualification. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience: Practical experience working with young people, such as tutoring, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, or volunteering.
• Skills: Confidence, strong communication abilities, resilience, and a positive, proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Supervise secondary school students (Key Stages 3 & 4) across various subjects during teacher absences.
• Maintain a positive, orderly, and productive classroom environment where students feel supported.
• Deliver prepared work set by the department and ensure students stay on task.
• Collect completed work and provide constructive feedback on student progress and behaviour.
• Uphold school policies regarding behaviour management and safeguarding at all times.
