Job summary

Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking a motivated Cover Supervisor to join our staff team. You will join an existing cover supervisor to take responsibility for classes during short-term teacher absence, delivering pre-prepared exercises and maintaining positive student engagement under senior staff guidance.

The role offers opportunities for professional learning, with enhanced DBS checks required. Welsh language Level 2 verbal ability is expected, with support available to reach this level

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required
• Welsh language Level 2 (verbal) required or attainable on appointment

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during short-term teacher absence under guidance of teaching/senior staff
• Deliver pre-prepared exercises and activities
• Build positive relationships with students and manage behaviour
• Support students in line with school policies and procedures
