Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to work full-time in a mainstream secondary school in West Cardiff. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with young people who can manage a classroom and gain further experience in a secondary school environment.

The role involves providing general classroom cover across subjects, delivering pre-prepared work, managing behaviour, and supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4.

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils or young people.
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills.
• Confident, adaptable and professional attitude.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Available full-time, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide general classroom cover across a range of secondary subjects.

The Role

The Ideal Cover Supervisor

• Has experience working with secondary-aged pupils or young people
• Has strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Is confident, adaptable and professional
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Is available full-time, Monday to Friday
• Can confidently cover a variety of subjects
• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Sports Coach, Youth Worker, Learning Support Assistant or Unqualified Teacher would be advantageous
