Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools across Neath Port Talbot. You will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, deliver pre-prepared lesson activities and ensure students stay focused and on task.

Ideal candidates will have experience working with young people in schools or youth settings, strong classroom and behaviour management, excellent communication, and a proactive, adaptable approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young people in a school, coaching, youth work or similar setting.
• Confidence leading and supervising groups of secondary school students.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships and motivate students.

Salary: £100 £115 per day (depending on experience)

We have short-term opportunities available from November, offering the chance to gain experience across a variety of secondary school settings. As a Cover Supervisor, you will take responsibility for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-prepared lesson activities and ensuring students remain focused, engaged and on task.

You will play an important role in creating a positive learning environment, promoting good behaviour and maintaining classroom routines. Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor, a graduate considering a career in teaching or someone with experience supporting young people, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and make a meaningful impact.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Previous experience working with young people in a school, coaching, youth work or similar setting
• Confidence leading and supervising groups of secondary school students
