Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools in Powys. You will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-planned work and keeping pupils engaged across KS3/KS4.

This temporary role offers on-site, full-time hours with immediate start and pays £100–£120 per day. The position is based in Powys (SY16) and is suitable for those with classroom management skills and a passion for education.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children/young people in educational settings is desirable.

Are you a motivated Cover Supervisor with strong communication skills and the confidence to deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with Secondary Schools in Powys, who are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor. The schools provide a welcoming and inclusive learning environment, with a strong emphasis on developing pupils' confidence, independence and academic achievement.

TeacherActive is looking to take on a motivated Cover Supervisor on a temporary / permanent basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Cover Supervisor will support pupils across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-planned work and ensuring pupils remain engaged and focused throughout their lessons.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Experience working with children or young people within a Secondary School or educational setting (desirable)
• The confidence to supervise classes and deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A flexible, patient and adaptable approach to supporting pupils' learning
• A genuine passion for education and helping young people reach their full potential
