TeacherActive is recruiting a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to work full-time in a mainstream secondary school in West Cardiff, Cardiff.

You will provide general classroom cover across a range of subjects, deliver pre-prepared work, and manage classroom behaviour for Key Stage 3 and 4. This is a temporary, full-time position with a £110 daily rate, starting ASAP, Monday to Friday.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with young people who is confident managing a classroom and wants to gain further experience within a secondary school environment.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Provide general classroom cover across a range of secondary subjects

Deliver pre-prepared work in the absence of the class teacher

Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

Support pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

Follow school policies and procedures

Work closely with teaching and support staff across the school

The Ideal Cover Supervisor

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working with secondary-aged pupils or young people

Has strong behaviour and classroom management skills

Is confident, adaptable and professional

Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Is available full-time, Monday to Friday

Can confidently cover a variety of subjects

Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Sports Coach, Youth Worker, Learning Support Assistant or Unqualified Teacher would be advantageous.
