Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Basildon is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support secondary students during teacher absences. You will supervise classes, deliver pre-planned lessons, and provide 1:1 and small group support while promoting positive behaviour throughout the day.

This role offers flexible full-time or part-time hours in Basildon, with competitive pay dependent on experience, and ongoing consultant support from Teaching Personnel; candidates with school experience and strong classroom

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year's experience working within a school setting.
• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor looking for your next opportunity in Basildon? We are seeking a confident, proactive, and enthusiastic individual to support secondary school students in a welcoming and supportive school environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. You will be responsible for supervising classes, delivering pre-planned lessons, supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, and ensuring positive behaviour management throughout the school day.
