Job summary

Revolve Collective Limited is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support learning in a Wolverhampton secondary setting. You will supervise pupil work, explain tasks clearly and help pupils stay engaged during lessons.

You'll adapt explanations to individual needs, reinforce routines and work closely with support staff to maintain a safe, focused learning environment. Recent safeguarding awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supervising groups of young people.
• Relevant experience supporting SEN, SEMH needs or challenging behaviour.
• Experience maintaining consistent boundaries and following procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise work prepared by teachers and ensure pupils stay on task.
• Explain tasks clearly and adapt explanations to pupils' needs.
• Support routines and work with classroom support staff.
• Provide feedback to the returning teacher to maintain continuity.

You’ll supervise work prepared by teachers, explain tasks clearly and help pupils remain engaged. That can mean adjusting your explanation, reinforcing familiar routines and working closely with support staff.

Confidence with flexibility

For specialist classroom cover, you’ll need:

• Experience leading or supervising groups of young people.
• Relevant experience supporting SEN, SEMH needs or challenging behaviour.
• Experience adapting instructions and maintaining consistent boundaries.
• Confidence following behaviour-support procedures and working with classroom support staff.
• An understanding of safeguarding.

You’ll also provide clear feedback to the returning teacher to help maintain continuity.
